A quirky take on this classic Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, this production is set in the 'Flower Power' world of the 1970s where crimplene rules the roost and collars couldn't get any bigger!

It is the story of a young man's obsession with equality and the lengths to which he will go to achieve his fantasy.

Employed by the young man, a Sorcerer creates a love potion so that all can share the dream.  At the young man's betrothal party, attended by the whole village, the potion is added to the teapot.

With typical British ritual, everyone takes a cup of tea and promptly falls into a deep sleep.  On waking, the most unlikely people fall in love with one another, with the usual comic twists and turns.

Eventually all's well that ends well.  That is, except for The Sorcerer ........
